Yes, I dont like the best rating as things are relative. Sweden may be the best in one category but USA has 50 or more Swedens to manage.

The best things about my country is the experiment in Democracy that changed the world less than 250 years ago. And the American Dream from what I see still inspires the world with still one of the easiest countries to start with little and end with lots if hard work and willingness to compete is our cup of tea.

But being a superpower is both a bane and a blessing and we certainly don't do things perfectly. And superpowers don't last forever as the British know so well.

I personally am still driven by the American fascination with the underdogs. That a person starting with nothing can win against all odds. The movie Rocky still is the way we feel.

Sadly, the trend is to look to the government to solve all problems. And every underprivileged group seems to lead with how unfair they have been treated and how Uncle Sam should magically make things better.

They forget to lead with gratitude first and how they are taking ownership for improving their lives. If they do this, they will be heard and helped because the world can be a unequal place. And they forget what ancestors went through fighting governments who never tolerated free speech.

Finally, I'm proud of the tradition of supporting charity here. Dont know what others countries are like, but the American tradition is for private giving where government falls short. Remember the Declaration states: "Pursuit of Happiness" as a right. Not a guarantee. A big, big distinction that so many miss.
