Political Correctness Live and Unwell in America

I got my face slapped at work, but there is a happy ending for once!

Despite a critical presidential election, a flood for the ages in North Carolina, and a new war starting seemingly every day, you still have to watch what you say in America.

I am a semi-retired guy doing a fun part-time job because I treasure the community of both my customers and co-workers. I love this job but they told me something deeply troubling the other day.

And it hurts!

I got politically corrected at work yesterday, and I am angry and feel censored and hurt.

At work, I asked a tall young man who had just been hired if he played basketball. Management pulled me aside and said I can’t ask that.

I said why? I was told it is an old stereotype that some blacks only play basketball! I said I only asked because the new gentleman was tall, and not because he happened to be black.

And I asked him because I love basketball.

The manager is a nice woman and probably was forced by corporate to politically correct me.

But, this message temporarily crushed my spirits. And guys, this is one of the good companies with good management and an interesting…
