Thanks for being brave and sharing and also being brave taking action on a day when it sounds you were quite bumming. You helped so many being straight up---and I think connecting is almost a global issue.

I've always felt that institutions like volunteer groups, were more stable than people, as friends seem to come and go. The mission for me like it or not, has to come first. But even volunteer organizations can not be enough for me at times. Ideally, when you are doing stuff you enjoy first and then meeting friends is optional "icing on the cake," then the world seems to work in my favor.

I don't have a dog right now, but feel it would help making connections, or atleast make people happy when I pass them by.

Keep up your positive writing and I believe you are meeting people in Spanish which may add a whole other challenge, atleast for me.
