Great points and instructional, Chris. Your non-profit experience is helpful. I like the tip jar idea to be seamless, easy, and mostly-- not begging. The difference between a piece of cardboard asking for money vs the musician in the metro adding beautiful sounds to a dull commute.

So a fine line. I need to see what feels best even the idea of is it me I want people to support or a charity, since writing now is not my full-time job.
