Great imagery, Scot and I can hear your wife saying the very words. Like how you told a fun story and experience and educated us on neurodiversity. Do you know that Dr. Michael Bury, the Standford MD turned star trader in the book/movie, The Big Short? Similar to you, he found out he was autistic after his wife gave him the same diagnositc test originally meant for only their son.

Anyways, I really can relate on a different level in a story I wrote and am updating on my 1 year anniversary of a restless leg issue that challenges me by keeping me up most nights...thought it might be used for my weekly story for the Writing Nerds.
