Good perspective. USA and maybe the UK have a macro problem to consider, too. Everyone in the world wants to come. How do you determine who is allowed and who is not? Should language be a criteria? We have many examples of immigrants with no English rising up through very hard work. People that come with some training in English tend to do better. Some without much English who integrate into the major cities tend to do better. Those that don't, not so much.
