Hola amigos y amigos de la Medium. I just have a minute to update you on this journey adventure. Yes, I did find the sun, mountains, and the Pacific Ocean. But no. This is not a simplistic Instagram type update to make my amigos feel bad. Instead a quick summary of the good, hard, challenging of coming here for 3 weeks.

My dog/perro friend. Whom saves whom? My photo

First, it was hard taking off by myself. But I was so over waiting for people to invite me or join me. My life was on hold and changes had to be made and facing the fear of aloneness had to be stared down. I had to make a life choice or become a person unfullfilled.

Two, after a year of research I decided a service trip best met my needs. I started working to train/ domesticate homeless dogs. They need new homes. I need many dog kisses.

I am now teaching English to 8 year olds. Same great feelings just different…
