First, congrats Mike for taking the chance, and she said Yes.

We've all been there and by nature they are awkward for both parties. By even mentioning this may reduce Her anxiety...and you both can have a good laugh and get on with it.

Keeping it short is a good strategy.

I always liked to plan for a simple drink first - phase 1. If the chemistry is clearly not there, than you can part and make sure you thank her graciously before leaving. If things are better, add some appetizers or if a nice evening a short walk.
Walking is relaxing and allows people to open up. Getting an ice cream after the pub, can be a fun option, too.

Have a buddy on standby for support if the date goes good, bad, or fantastic. If she is hot but a bitch then keep it short. If she is hot but you can't tell if she likes you, then enjoy the scenery and enjoy your drink.

Ideally online dating should be an important but small part of your social life.
Either way, go for it. You will have a fun story to share and get a ton of readers.
You can't win if you don't play. And she deserves to meet you.

Cant wait to hear your results. Best!
