Mark's Second Act Stories

Finally a positive story about something in 2022. I've watched the better than fiction, live soap opera and have actually learned a few non partisan things. First, picking a side in this thing is a fools errand and in the real world, none of our damn business. Ukraine is serious business. This fictional distraction.

Is it a snap shot on how complicated sick relationships are? Yes. Is it the pendulum swigging back against the toxic new belief that all men are guilty until proven innocent when relationships go bad? Probably.

But strangely the Johnny Depp we are now feeling represents a male friendship that few get a taste of. A man that leads with generosity, humor, and listening to others, yes, I want to join that club. Sadly, I have lost most of my male friendships over time. In a society that no longer listens, the thought of having a Johnny Depp friend feels like a painful missing need.

Is it substance abuse that makes him able to listen more and talk less? Or can we believe that greatness comes from the heart, no matter how flawed. Thanks for writing. Am following.
