Ellen, great researched and insightful article. Only critique is that being alpha doesn't always mean being a jerk. Alpha can describe someone who is dominant in looks, attitude, ambition, charisma, etc. Some form of hyper-competitiveness is also part of the formula. On the other side, to be a protector provider, and supporter of spouse and family is a role cherished by men. Thanks for the insightful article. Am following.
