Christmas Day Alone. The words sound terrifying. But today I did something incredible.

I came to my community office space on Christmas Day. Yes, instead of staying at home alone and feeling sorry for myself, I came in to write and I am happily getting stuff done.

A Big Life Turnaround

Yes, this is the start of a big turnaround. I have never been good at hanging out by myself. Instead, I hung out with any close or even distant friend who was willing to hang out with me. We are going to try it a different way which is both exciting, scary, and empowering at the same time.

It is time to stop chasing external verification and spending more time developing the internal strengths that are sure to become evident to the world.

Spending time alone helps set boundaries

I feel the power and enjoyment of spending time with myself. In many ways, this makes me value my time more and less likely to use it unwisely just for the sake of companionship.

But so far it is pretty cool. How about them apples? It is a pleasant holiday surprise.

The key to sustained success is both hard and easy
