Alison and Robert are an unlikely mix that worked amazingly. Bluegrass is a disciplined musical style with strong focus on blended voices. Heavy metal is relative free form in comparison. So both performers had to mix. But Robert is no stranger to Southern America blues at the root of so much British rock. He could leverage off similar sounds inherent in Bluegrass. "When The Levee Breaks" is an old southern ditty that Zeppelin took to a whole new level when they covered it. Great story you wrote about unique mixes coming together. Oh yes, if you ever come to visit: Bluegrass is the name of the Kentucky blend of turf that the famous horses of the KY Derby are both raised and raced on. Most of Kentucky is in the Appalacian Mountains. A very poor region but the most beautiful country.
Thanks. I am following your stuff.
