An example of a story that changed my world: I found a breakthrough Medium article by one of my new beloved fellow writers and I literally wept! It details the daily struggles of people in a world far different world than mine.

This story made me feel like I was on the streets of Nigeria fighting to survive yet somehow finding a will to thrive.

I know a lot about finance and economics yet, I know a lot less about the social impacts of people’s basic needs to eat, sleep, safety and healthcare.
